Im getting desperate because my sisters wedding is in three weeks and I realized my kit lens just isnt cutting it for the portraits she wants. Im based in Chicago and I have a really tight budget of like 350 bucks max, maybe 400 if I skip groceries for a week lol. My X-T30 is just sitting there and I feel like Im failing her.
Ive been looking at the Viltrox 56mm f/1.4 and the Sigma 56mm f/1.4, and honestly even the older Fuji 60mm macro even though the autofocus sounds kinda slow. The Viltrox is super cheap which is great for my wallet but I see mixed things about the sharpness. The Sigma seems way better but its pushing my limit. Is the autofocus on the Viltrox gonna be too slow for an event? I really need something that can handle indoor lighting without making everyone look like a blurry mess. Should I just bite the bullet and save for the Sigma or will the Viltrox actually get the job done for this one shoot?

- The Viltrox 56mm f/1.4 XF is actually fine for most stuff. Ive used it and the focus is snappy enough if you stick to single point AF.
- Check out the Fujifilm XF 50mm f/2 R WR. It is super reliable, weather-sealed, and the focus is silent. You can usually find these used for around 300 bucks.
