Whats the best portrait lens for my X-T30 II that wont break the bank? Im planning to shoot my daughters high school graduation portraits next month and really want that blurry background look.
Ive been looking at the 56mm f1.2 because everyone says its the king of bokeh but then I saw some reviews saying the autofocus is kinda slow on the older versions and now im second guessing everything. The 50mm f2 seems faster and way cheaper but is f2 enough for that really creamy look? I have about 600 bucks to spend so maybe a used 56mm is doable but i dont want to miss the shot if the focus hunts too much... what do you guys think for a small body like the xt30?
I just used the Sigma 56mm f1.4 DC DN Contemporary for my cousins graduation and oh my god, the photos were just incredible! You get that amazing blurry background without spending a fortune...
- Autofocus is super snappy, much better than those older lenses.
- It balances perfectly on a small body like the X-T30 II.
- Seriously a total bargain!
