I am honestly so frustrated with my current setup right now. I recently upgraded to the X-H2 because I really wanted that 40mp sensor for my portrait work but my old 56mm f1.2 R is just not cutting it anymore and its driving me insane. The autofocus is hunting constantly and it feels so sluggish when I am trying to capture candid moments plus the purple fringing is just awful when I am shooting wide open. I have a big outdoor wedding coming up in Seattle next month and I seriously cant be fiddling with missed focus while the bride is walking down the aisle. I thought about getting the newer 56mm WR version but I have heard mixed things about the AF speed being just okay and not actually fast. I am also looking at the 50mm f1.0 but that thing is a total brick and I am worried about my wrist after an 8 hour shoot day. My budget is around 900 to 1100 bucks and I really need something that can actually keep up with the X-H2 speed without being soft or loud. Is the Viltrox 75mm 1.2 actually as good as people say or should I just stick with native glass? What are you guys using for high-end portraits on the newer bodies that actually stays sharp?
