I just got this X-T30 and honestly I'm terrified of ruining my photos for my trip to Zion next month. I really want those super crisp sharp mountain shots you see online but I have no idea where to start with actual lenses. My logic was that a more expensive lens means better pictures right? But then I read about prime lenses being better for sharpness but then I cant zoom and I'm just so confused about what to actually buy.
I have like 650 dollars saved up for this and I dont want to waste it on something that isnt sharp enough. Is there one specific lens that everyone uses for this? Sorry if this is a dumb question but I'm just really overthinking it and dont want blurry mountains...
In my experience, you dont need to drop a fortune for crisp shots. Ive tried many lenses over the years and for Zions scale, you want something wide and reliable.
- Fujifilm Fujinon XF 16mm f/2.8 R WR
- Fujifilm Fujinon XF 14mm f/2.8 R The 16mm is basically foolproof and stays well under your 650 budget. Honestly, its the safest bet if youre worried about ruining the trip shots.
