What is the best all-around prime lens for the Fujifilm X-T5 that actually makes photos look good because I am honestly so fed up with my kit zoom right now. I just dropped a ton of money on this body for my big Japan trip in three weeks and my test shots look like they came from a phone... its making me want to return the whole setup.
Everything feels soft and boring. I need something versatile for street and travel but I cant figure out if I should go for the 23mm f1.4 or the 35mm? My budget is $900 and I just want one lens that actually delivers some sharpness for once.
unfortunately many older fujifilm lenses are a disappointment on that 40mp sensor. i had issues with the kit zoom being way too soft for the x-t5. for your japan trip, you need the Fujifilm Fujinon XF 23mm f/1.4 R LM WR. it actually resolves the detail you are missing and 23mm is way more versatile. TL;DR: The Fujifilm Fujinon XF 23mm f/1.4 R LM WR is the best for sharpness.
