What is the best all-around zoom lens for the Fujifilm X-T5?

Honestly so over this 16-80mm lens. It keeps hunting for focus and the edges are just mushy on my X-T5 sensor... i have a big trip to Japan next month and I'm freaking out that my photos will look terrible. what zoom actually keeps up with the 40mp sensor but isnt a total brick?

Dragged a heavy red-badge zoom to Scotland once and the focus motor just quit in the damp air... super disappointing for the price. For Japan, id stick to something cheap and reliable:Fujifilm XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 R LM OISFujifilm XC 15-45mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS PZ Buying a used 18-55 is way safer and saves money for better things like sushi and trains.
