I just picked up an S5II and need a versatile 'do-it-all' zoom. I love the 20-60mm kit lens for its size, but I'm looking for something faster in low light with more reach for portraits. Should I go for the Lumix 24-105mm f4 or the Sigma 24-70mm f2.8? What’s your favorite everyday lens for this setup?
Ok so, the Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Art beats the Panasonic LUMIX S 24-105mm f/4 Macro O.I.S. on price. At $1,100, that f/2.8 is the best value for portraits, seriously.
Just saw this! Curious about one thing: r u doing handheld video or just stills? Over the years I've found it matters a lot for the S5II... 1. Panasonic LUMIX S 24-105mm f/4 Macro O.I.S. - Dual IS is a LIFESAVER for steady video.
2. Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Art for L-Mount - Way better for low light bokeh. Basically depends on ur workflow tbh!
Great info, saved!
