so i've been using my D850 for years mostly for landscape stuff but my cousin just begged me to shoot her wedding next weekend in seattle and im honestly panicking a bit. i thought my 105mm micro would be fine but i checked out the venue today and its way tighter than i expected... like way too cramped. i need something that gives me that creamy bokeh but actually fits the space.

my budget is capped at like 800 bucks for a used lens and i gotta order it like yesterday. i was looking at the 85mm 1.8G or maybe the 1.4 if i can find a deal but then i heard some people say the older D lenses hunt too much on newer bodies. which nikon f-mount should i pull the trigger on for portraits when space is tight...

Oh man, weddings are stressful but you totally got this! Since the 105mm is too long, you absolutely need the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 85mm f/1.8G for that creamy look. Honestly, the 1.8G is way faster and more reliable than the old D lenses on a D850!
