I'm leaving for a trip to New York in like three days and I still havent picked a lens for my a6000. I've been looking at the Sigma 30mm f1.4 because everyone says its the sharpest thing ever but then I saw the Sony 35mm has built in stabilization. My logic was that since the a6000 doesnt have IBIS I might need that for night shots? But then the Sigma is cheaper and I'm really trying to stay under $250 since I already spent a lot on the flights. I also looked at the 16mm pancake but some reviews say the corners are super blurry for street stuff. Is the 30mm too narrow for tight city streets or should I just go for it?
Unfortunately, Sigma 30mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary is not as good as expected without stabilization. I've had issues with micro-blur on sensors lacking IBIS. Look for a used Sony E 35mm f/1.8 OSS instead.
