Olympus has just officially announced the new Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 8-25mm F4 Pro lens. It is 16-50mm equivalent lens for Micro Four Thirds. This new lens has 16 elements, which include Super ED, ED and EDA glass. A large ‘DSA’ element reduces sagittal comatic aberration, and the ‘ZERO’ coating reduces flare and ghosting. It has a minimum focus distance of 23cm (9″) across the focal range and a magnification of 0.42x. Seventy-two millimeter filters are supported.

Panasonic has just officially announced the new Panasonic LUMIX S 50mm f/1.8 lens. It is a prime lens for the full L-mount system developed in partnership with Leica and Sigma, featuring nine elements, including ED, UHR and aspherical glass, a linear motor. The minimum focus distance is 0.45m (17.7″), while the maximum magnification is 0.14x. The 50mm F1.8 is weather-sealed and freezeproof to -10°C/+14°F.
