Canon RF 70-150mm F2.8 IS STM Lens is coming! According to CR, it will complete the Trilog. As we all know, Canon already announced RF 28-70mm f/2.8 IS STM and RF 16-28mm f/2.8 IS STM.
Canon is reportedly launching a compact RF 70-150mm f/2.8 IS STM in Q4 this year. While patents exist for an f/2L version, this smaller f/2.8 design remains unseen. Like the well-received RF 16-28mm f/2.8 IS STM, it’s expected to feature STM autofocus, IS, weather resistance, and a control ring. Though some may prefer a 70-200mm, the 70-150mm range likely allows for a more portable design, matching Canon’s recent STM zoom lineup. Given the success of similar lenses, this one is poised to sell well.
