What is the best all-around lens for Canon EOS R6 travel because I am totally overwhelmed and honestly kind of panicking about my trip. I bought this camera because everyone said it was amazing but now I realize it doesnt even come with the glass part on the front and there are like a million options and I have no clue what the numbers mean.
Im going to Italy and Switzerland next month for two weeks and I really dont want to be that person fumbling with a bag full of gear while my husband is trying to walk around. I just want one lens that can do everything like taking pictures of the mountains and also some food and maybe us in front of buildings. Is that even possible? I keep seeing people talk about prime lenses but then someone else said I need a zoom and my head is spinning.
My budget is around 1000 dollars maybe 1200 if it makes a huge difference but I really dont want it to be super heavy because we are going to be walking a lot. I saw one that says 24-105 but then there are two versions and one is way more expensive and I dont know why? Sorry if this is a really stupid question I just dont want to waste money on the wrong thing and then have blurry photos of the Alps...
Dont panic, you've got this! I've been super happy with my R6 and it is a total powerhouse for travel. To save some cash and keep your bag light, I'd go with:
- Canon RF 24-240mm f/4-6.3 IS USM It works well for every situation you mentioned without the heavy pro price tag. Honestly, having that extra zoom is a huge lifesaver for those Swiss mountains!
