Leaving for Italy next week and need a lens fast. People online keep recommending the 22mm prime but I need zoom, and the 18-150mm looks way too bulky for backpacking. My budget is $350 max. What should I get that fits these:
- lightweight
- good for night shots
- has some zoom range
Help me decide quickly!

> has some zoom range Over the years I've used the tiny Canon EF-M 15-45mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM which is great for day, but the older Canon EF-M 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM handles low light slightly better.

Honestly, a fast zoom thats light and cheap doesnt exist. But here are two options to look at:
- Canon EF-M 18-150mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM: Seriously, its not that bulky! Love the massive range for travel and it easily fits your budget used.
- Canon EF-M 15-45mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM: Tiny and cheap, but you will struggle at night without raising your ISO.
