I am literally so hyped to finally ditch my ancient rebel t3i and get a real camera. Ive been going back and forth between the fujifilm x-t5 and the sony a7 iv for like a month now. the sony seems more pro maybe but the fuji just looks so cool and i really want those film recipes for my trip to japan in october.
my budget is capped at $1800 and the fuji is pushing it since i need a lens too. i was almost gonna get the x-s20 instead but i really want that 40mp sensor and the dials. is there any kind of discount code or promo happening right now that works for the x-t5?
Honestly promo codes for the Fujifilm X-T5 40MP Mirrorless Camera are super rare, but i have been so satisfied with mine. It works well and feels very reliable for travel.
- Fuji X-T5: Best for those film sims and 40MP detail.
- Sony A7 IV 33MP Full-Frame Mirrorless: Safe pro choice but way more expensive.
- Fujifilm X-S20 26MP Mirrorless Camera: Cheaper but misses the dials. Check for student discounts if you can... it really makes a difference!
Re: "I've been tracking Fuji prices for a bit..."
- I totally feel your pain! I was so stressed about my budget before my trip to Italy last year because I'm super paranoid about overspending or getting a lemon. I finally bit the bullet on the Fujifilm X-T5 40MP Digital Camera and it was amazing!! Since you're headed to Japan, you really want that weather sealing for peace of mind... Tbh direct codes are basically unicorns, but I found some awesome ways to save:
- Check the Fuji Refurbished store every morning; it's totally safe!
- Look at MPB or KEH for used gear since they provide a warranty.
- Grab an open-box Fujifilm XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 R LM OIS Lens to stay under that $1800 cap. Buying from a reputable dealer is much safer than chasing sketchy coupons anyway. Youre gonna have such a blast with those film sims!!
I've been tracking Fuji prices for a bit and honestly direct promo codes are basically non-existent for their newer bodies. Since youre trying to stay under $1800 with a lens, what kind of photography are you actually planning to do in Japan? Like, are we talking wide landscapes or more street and food stuff? That really dictates if you can afford the glass you need. If you're dead set on that 40MP sensor but the X-T5 price is too high, here are a few practical routes:
- Buy a used Fujifilm X-T5 40.2MP Mirrorless Camera from a reputable site like MPB to save about $200.
- Check out the Fujifilm X-T50 Mirrorless Camera 40MP which has the same sensor but a smaller price tag.
- Look for a kit deal with the Fujifilm XF 18-55mm f2.8-4 R LM OIS Lens since its a solid travel all-rounder. Tbh, the X-T50 might be the move if you dont mind a smaller body. It even has a dedicated dial for those film recipes you want. Lmk what lens you were eyeing tho and maybe i can help find a bundle.
