I'm finally looking to upgrade my Nikon kit, but those Z-mount prices are stinging a bit! I’ve been eyeing a Z8 and the 24-70mm f/2.8. Aside from the usual big names, are there specific sites known for massive seasonal discounts or reliable refurbished deals? Where do you usually find the absolute lowest prices on genuine Nikon gear?

Stumbled upon this today and yeah, seconding the recommendation above! Honestly, Nikon Direct Refurbished is GOAT. Since they’re factory-certified, you get full specs without the retail tax. My gear from there looks literally brand new! 1. Watch for Nikon Z 8 Mirrorless Camera refurb deals; prices often hit $3,150.
2. Snag the Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S Lens—it's usually $400 cheaper! Seriously, the QA is amazing. gl!

Saw this earlier but just now getting a chance to respond. Honestly, finding deep discounts on high-end Z glass and bodies is a total pain lately. The MAP pricing is strictly enforced by Nikon, so most authorized retailers have the exact same sticker price regardless of their overhead. Unfortunately, the actual technical leap in MTF performance and sensor readout speeds doesnt always feel like it justifies the huge price jump over legacy kits. Before looking at specific inventory lists, i need a bit more data:

  • What is your actual hard ceiling for the total kit cost?
  • Are you prioritizing a local factory warranty, or are you willing to risk international gray market imports for the lower prices? Most sites just follow the same rebate cycle, so if you miss the window, you are basically stuck paying full msrp.
