So I finally saved up enough to ditch my ancient a6000 and I am so hyped to move up to full frame with the a7 IV. Im heading to the Canadian Rockies in about three weeks so I really need to get this ordered like yesterday. My budget is roughly $2800 for the whole setup including glass and cards. I've been scouring the usual sites and saw that Adorama has this bundle with a bunch of accessories like a spare battery and a bag but honestly some of those off-brand batteries scare me a little. Then B&H has the kit with the 28-70mm lens but Ive heard people say that lens doesnt really do the sensor justice.
Ive also looked at Amazon but their bundles look like a total mess of random plastic bits that I probably dont need. I just want a solid deal where I get stuff I actually need like:
- high speed v90 cards
- a decent extra battery
- maybe a decent bag or strap
Is there some hidden deal I am missing or should I just buy the body solo and pick out the lenses and cards separately? It feels like the bundles save money on paper but if the glass is mediocre then what is the point? Does anyone know if there are better promos going on right now at smaller retailers or maybe somewhere like Focus Camera?
