Honestly im about to lose my mind with the older 56mm f1.2 because it keeps hunting for focus during my studio sessions and it is just so slow it makes me look like an amateur in front of clients. I spent a fortune on this X-H2S thinking it would solve my focus problems but the lens is just holding the whole system back and i have a huge outdoor wedding shoot in Seattle next Friday and really need something that can actually keep up with eye tracking without making that grinding noise.
Im looking to spend maybe 900 bucks max on something sharp with killer bokeh so what is the actual best portrait lens for the X-H2S that wont let me down last minute?
Unfortunately I had issues with that lens too... it's just not as good as expected for the price, tbh. If you want results on a budget, try these:
- Fujifilm XF 56mm f/1.2 R WR is the better version but pricey.
- Sigma 56mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary for Fujifilm X is very fast and way cheaper.
- Fujifilm XF 50mm f/2 R WR is super tiny and cheap but less bokeh. I'd go Sigma for weddings, honestly.
