What lens do you guys actually leave on your X-T5 for like 90% of your shots because I am struggling to find the one for this high res sensor. Ive been shooting Fuji since the X-T2 days so I know the system well but this 40mp chip is really making me rethink my glass. I thought my trusty old 18-55 kit lens would be fine but its showing its age and looks kinda soft when I crop in. I am heading to Tokyo in three weeks for a solo trip and really want a single-lens setup to keep things simple. Budget is about 800 or 900 bucks. Is the 16-80 worth it or should I just bite the bullet on the 16-55 brick?
honestly i had the same panic before my last big trip! i skipped those fuji zooms and grabbed the Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 DC DN Contemporary for Fujifilm X instead. it was amazing on that 40mp sensor and way cheaper than the 16-55, which left me more money for shinjuku food! its tiny and handles resolution way better than the kit lens. TL;DR: Get the Sigma to save cash and weight!
