Nikon has just officially announced the new Nikon Nikkor Z 40mm F2 lens. It is a compact, full-frame lens for Nikon Z-mount mirrorless system. The lens is just 46mm (1.8″) long and weighs 170 grams (6 ounces), making it easy to carry around. The lens has 6 elements, 2 of which are aspherical. A ‘Super Integrated Coating’ is designed to reduce ghosting and flare. The 40mm F2 has a minimum focus distance of 29cm (11.4″) while the max magnification is 0.17x. The lens is ‘dust and drip resistant’ and accepts 52mm filters.
This new lens costs $296.95, first available for pre-order at B&H/ Adorama.
