I just pulled the trigger on the R5 Mark II because I leave for a landscape trip in Iceland in literally six days and I am freaking out about glass. My budget is pretty tapped out after buying the body so I can really only afford one high-end zoom right now.
I read the 24-70mm f/2.8 is the gold standard for this sensor but some reviews say the 24-105mm f/4 is better for hiking since it has more reach and less weight. Im torn because I dont want to miss that extra stop for low light shots, but carrying the heavy f/2.8 all day sounds exhausting. Which one is actually the better versatile pick for this specific camera?

In my experience, just grab the Canon RF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM.
- More reach
- Lighter weight Skip the Canon RF 24-70mm f/2.8L IS USM since youll mostly use a tripod anyway.
