where are the best places to look for black friday camera deals because I'm totally lost and dont want to get a bad one? sorry if this is dumb but I need a camera for my daughters graduation in december and only have $500. i have no idea where to start or which stores are actually legit...
Just saw this. Tbh $500 is kinda tight for a brand new setup but Black Friday usually brings entry-level kits down. You really want something with decent autofocus for a graduation.
- Canon EOS R100 Mirrorless Camera with 18-45mm Lens
- Sony Alpha a6000 Mirrorless Camera with 16-50mm Lens Check Best Buy or Amazon because their return policies are way safer than random sites. Mirrorless is better than older DSLRs for tracking faces anyway.
Found this today... honestly I'm very happy with the deals at Walmart or Target. I'd grab the Canon EOS Rebel T7 with 18-55mm Lens because the 24.1MP sensor is great for the price. No complaints there. Or check the Panasonic LUMIX G7 4K Mirrorless with 14-42mm Lens. It works well for 4K video, tho the AF is slower than phase-detect sensors. Both usually hit that $500 sweet spot during the sales!
Saving this whole thread. So much good info here you guys are awesome.
Honestly i would be really cautious with random sites that pop up during sales. I would suggest sticking to authorized dealers like BH or Adorama so you dont get stuck with a fake.
- avoid grey market items without a warranty
- make sure to read the fine print Be extra careful with third-party sellers on giant marketplaces... dont want you losing that $500 before the graduation!
Same setup here, love it
