Im honestly so fed up with my 23mm f2 being soft wide open, it is driving me crazy and I have a huge trip to Tokyo next Tuesday. Budget is 900.
I tried:
- the kit lens
But its just not clinical enough for what i need... what is the absolute sharpest prime for my X-Pro3?

I had that exact problem with the f2 during a trip to Osaka... it just didnt deliver. I switched to the Fujifilm Fujinon XF 23mm f1.4 R LM WR and it is significantly sharper wide open. It is a bit heavier, but the clinical rendering is exactly what you are looking for. You can find them around $850 used, which is a solid value for that glass.
