I finally pulled the trigger on a used X-T5 for my trip to Kyoto in literally ten days but I am stressing hard about glass. I spent all morning looking at the 18-55 vs the 16-80 but honestly the reviews are all over the place. Some guys swear the old 18-55 kit lens is sharper for the 40mp sensor while others say the 16-80 is way better for travel even if it's soft at the edges.

My budget is around 600-700 bucks max so the 16-55 red badge is probably out of reach anyway plus it looks giant. I just need one lens that can handle street stuff and maybe some landscape without constant swapping. Is the 16-80 actually gonna look bad on the T5 sensor? Or should I just get the Sigma 18-50 and lose the aperture ring? I am totally lost...
