A new Sigma lens is coming! According to the latest rumors from Nokishita-C, Sigma will announce the new Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 DC DN Contemporary lens for Leica L mount and Sony E mounts.
Sigma’s next new product seems to be a large aperture standard zoom for APS-C. The standard zoom of F2.8 is 17-70mm for Tamron and 16-55mm for Sony, but Sigma has a limited zoom range of 18-50mm, so it is highly possible that it will be a lightweight and compact lens.
Recently, for full-frame lenses, the compact F2.8 through standard zoom that starts at 28mm is popular, so it may be possible to introduce a lens of the same line in APS-C.
