Here are some more info about the upcoming Canon EF 200-600mm f/4.5-5.6 IS USM lens. This new super telephoto zoom lens is now in testing by photographers around the world and will be announced in late 2016 instead of in August at Photokina.
Canon EF 200-600mm F4.5-5.6 IS will be a non-L and no weather-sealed lens, but will also have great optics and build quality. The price is rumored for about $1,700, just cheaper than the current Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM lens and Sigma 150-600mm sport lens.
Canon filed a lens patent for this lens in December last year.
