im honestly so fed up with the kit lens on my R50, its just blurry and i dont like how it feels. i have a trip to Italy in 3 weeks and im panicking because i need a better travel lens.

  • budget under $500
  • super lightweight
  • versatile zoom

what should i actually buy?

I suggest looking at the Canon RF-S 18-150mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM for a reliable travel setup. It is more versatile than your current kit and fits the budget.

  • Covers a broad focal range for architecture and landscape
  • Light enough for all-day carry Its a solid option, tho the slow aperture might struggle in dark cathedrals.

Im super satisfied with the Canon RF-S 18-150mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM for versatility, but the Canon RF 24-105mm f/4-7.1 IS STM is sharper if you dont mind losing wide views.
