So Ive been wanting to get into photography for a while now but honestly everything is so confusing when I look it up online. I keep seeing people talk about mirrorless cameras being the way to go instead of those big old DSLRs but I dont really know the difference or why one is better than the other. I have about $750 saved up maybe could push to $800 if its a really good deal but I need to get everything including the lens and a memory card since I have literally nothing right now. Im planning a trip to Colorado in January to see some friends and I really want to take better photos than what my iPhone can do especially for some hiking shots and pictures of my golden retriever who never sits still haha.

Black Friday is coming up and I keep seeing all these ads but I have no idea if the deals are actually good or if they just raise the price and then drop it back down to normal. Ive looked at the Sony a6000 series and maybe some Canon ones but there are so many numbers and letters it makes my head spin. Is there a specific model I should be hunting for during the sales that fits my budget? Like is there a best starter one that goes on sale every year? Sorry if this is a really dumb question I just dont want to waste my money on something outdated...
