Hello everyone, I recently got a Fujifilm X-T5 and I'm loving its retro design and excellent image quality. However, as a photography newbie, I'm unsure which lenses to get for this camera. I'm mainly interested in landscape and portrait photography. Could anyone recommend some lenses for me? Thanks in advance!
The new FUJIFILM XF 16-50mm f/2.8-4.8 R LM WR Lens is a good lens for X-T5: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=Fujifilm+16814817+XF16+50mmF2+8+4+8+LM+WR&BI=8941&KBID=10361&SID=12345&DFF=d50
Don't forget about some of the excellent third-party options available for Fujifilm X-mount. The Viltrox 13mm f/1.4 is a fantastic ultra-wide prime, and the Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 offers a great balance of range and speed at a competitive price point.
I recommend the following two lenses for your Fujifilm X-T5 :
Prime Lens: Fujifilm XF 35mm f/1.4 R: This lens is known for its superb sharpness, beautiful bokeh, and great low-light performance. The 35mm focal length (equivalent to 53mm in full-frame terms) is versatile for portraits, street photography, and general use.
Zoom Lens: Fujifilm XF 16-55mm f/2.8 R LM WR (II): This weather-sealed zoom lens offers a constant f/2.8 aperture throughout its zoom range, making it ideal for a variety of shooting conditions. It provides excellent image quality and is well-suited for landscapes, portraits, and events.
Same setup here, love it
I love Fujifilm XF 16-55MM F/2.8 lens.
For landscapes, you can't go wrong with the XF10-24mmF4 R OIS WR wide-angle zoom. Super sharp from edge to edge and weather resistant. For portraits, the XF56mmF1.2 R is an amazing prime lens with beautiful bokeh. Those would be my top picks to start your X-T5 kit.
